UK Weightloss is a prescriber-led medical weight loss clinic, part of Adexcel Aesthetics, offering
clinically supervised treatment with MHRA-approved GLP-1 medications including Mounjaro, Wegovy and
Orlistat. Their clinical reputation was strong, but their digital infrastructure wasn't keeping pace.
They came to us needing a platform that could match the quality of their care: elegant for patients,
powerful for the clinical team, and built to scale without adding admin overhead.
The problem we set out to solve
When we started, almost every part of the patient journey involved manual work. Prescribers were
juggling spreadsheets, separate email threads, and disconnected tools for consultations. Labels were
generated by hand. Repeat orders meant a phone call or a back-and-forth email. Assessment forms lived
in PDFs that couldn't be updated without a developer. The website itself, the front door to a regulated
medical practice, didn't reflect the credibility of the clinical team behind it. Every one of these
friction points was costing time, capping growth, and making it harder to deliver the kind of patient
experience the team wanted.
A unified platform, not a website
We didn't approach this as a redesign. We approached it as a clinical operations rebuild with a beautiful
front door. The public site, patient portal and prescriber admin were architected as one system, sharing
a single source of truth for every patient, order, prescription and note. That meant when a patient
completes a consultation, their assessment flows directly into the prescriber's queue. When a prescription
is approved, the label is generated automatically. When a patient wants to reorder, they do it themselves
in the portal, with no phone tag and no email chains.
Design that earns trust
The visual direction had to do real work. This is a medical service, regulated by the CQC, licensed by
the MHRA, and staffed by GMC and NMC-registered professionals. The design needed to communicate that
authority without feeling cold or corporate. We landed on a calm, editorial aesthetic: confident
typography, considered medical photography, generous spacing, and a clear visual hierarchy that guides
patients from awareness to consultation without pressure. Credibility markers (94% success rate, 50,000+
transformations, regulatory badges) are placed exactly where hesitation tends to creep in.
Clinical admin built around how the team works
The backend was designed by sitting with the clinical team and watching them work. Every feature earned
its place. Patient management consolidates records, history, notes and order activity into a single
view. The prescription module handles dosing, escalation schedules and renewals for GLP-1 treatments
specifically, rather than acting as a generic e-commerce bolt-on. The label generator outputs
dispatch-ready labels in seconds. Automated emails handle assessment confirmations, follow-ups, dosing
reminders and reorder prompts, all editable by the team without touching code.
Online consultations made simple
Prescribers can launch a Zoom consultation directly from a patient's record, with the assessment, history
and current treatment plan visible alongside the call. Notes captured during the consultation save back
to the patient record automatically. It turned a multi-tool workflow into a single screen.
AI-powered SEO that compounds
Weight loss is one of the most competitive verticals in UK search, and the clinical accuracy bar is high.
We built an AI content engine that produces structured, clinically grounded articles on GLP-1 medications,
dose escalation, side effects, eating patterns and patient guidance, all reviewed before publication.
The result is a steady stream of authoritative content that earns organic traffic without diluting the
brand or risking compliance.
A dashboard that drives decisions
